D; Abstract: Empowering women is self as a help aspect in encroachment the national development and poverty reduction. Hence several programmes have been introduced by the central and state governments by recognizing that women empowerment is the best strategy for poverty alleviation and for ensuring gender equality.

One of the powerful approaches to women kn and rural entrepreneurship is the formation of Self Help Groups SHGs especially among women. This self had fetched noticeable results not only in India and Bangladesh but world over. The present study endeavor to find out the attitude and empowerment of rural women.
